Organized by Extreme Sports Club HSE, HSE Camping Weekend is a great chance to spend two days out of the city, meet a large number of Russian students, and enjoy the beauty of the countryside. Sitting around the campfire and singing guitar songs together is something that will definitely give you warm memories for a long time.
Studies and work can only be effective if recreation is also organized properly. The HSE Extreme Sports Club has come up with several ideas on how to have an active and energetic rest in spring and summer.
On March 4, 2017, the winter sports HSE Snow Fest took place at the Kant alpine skiing centre. The event was organized by the Extreme Sports Club together with HSE student associations and received support from the Student Initiative Support Centre.
A great number of student associations and clubs at HSE involve students in a variety of activities from historical re-enactment to yachting. Fly HSE, a paragliding club, recently joined the list. HSE will build a three-story fitness complex near the Kaluzhskaya metro stop in Moscow, adding to the university’s sports and recreation infrastructure. The complex will include a swimming pool along with a number of fitness rooms and sports halls. The Moscow Committee for Architecture and Urban Development has already given the project the green light. Let’s see what the city’s Chief Architect Sergey Kuznetsov had to say about HSE’s new addition.
Karelia, Mount Elbrus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Krasnaya Polyana, and Andorra - this winter the Extreme Sports Club invites students, alumni and HSE staff members to set off for winter adventures. While many of the events have already become solid HSE traditions, some of them are being held for the first time. The projects are supported by HSE Department of Physical Training.
HSE students and staff are invited to try their hand at yachting under the supervision of experienced instructors. The HSE Yacht Club will be holding theoretical and practical classes during the winter.
