Get to Know Moscow while Running
Kerri Matulis is majoring in Psychology and Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. She is spending a semester at the Faculty of Economics of HSE. If students use any of the gym space in the HSE dormitories, they have probably seen some of these items present. While these fitness materials aid students in their quest either to get into shape or to maintain some level of physical fitness, Kerri wants to suggest that there is definitely another option, which can add to both your fitness and sight-seeing routine: running.

Winter Sport Activities

Late last year, HSE’s Extreme Sports student club organized a trip for HSE students, instructors, staff, and their friends to an equestrian centre located 150 kilometres away from Nizhny Novgorod, and at the end of winter the club has extended an invitation to one of Georgia’s best ski resorts – Gudauri.

HSE Students to Go Rafting in the Sayan Mountains

From August 9-24, a team of members from the Extreme Sports Club will head to the Sayan Mountains where participants will go rafting on one of the local rivers’ most challenging routes. The best competitors will be eligible to be invited to international competitions, in particular an annual water sports festival in Southeast Asia.

Sporty Summer at the HSE

The HSE student club for extreme sports ‘X-Sport Club’ has been organizing joint trips for HSE students and staff members, as well as contests in winter and summer sports for 15 years now. Carrying on the tradition, the club is planning several trips for HSE students, lecturers and staff members this year. The programme includes surfing, kiting, wakeboarding, other sports, and popular out-door tourist activities.
