HSE GAMES - University Sports Contest

The University organizes an annual all-university Sports Contest. It starts in September/ October and ends in April/ May of the following year.

The competitions are held in stages:

Stage 1 (mass competitions) – organized among students of the same year, upon the decision of the faculty/ department/ school;

Stage 2 (faculty/ institute-level contest) – organized among students of different years in one faculty;

Stage 3 (HSE GAMES Finals) – organized between faculty/ institute teams.

The HSE GAMES welcomes undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students, as well as full-time university staff and lecturers. Each of the participants is allowed to compete in no more than two sports.

Points are calculated for the results in the following forms:
Athletics
Volleyball
Mini football
Basketball (boys)
Russian bench press
Badminton
Chess
Table tennis
Swimming
Checkers
